The Bunn 05852.7999 Regular Shear Plate is sold in a package of six and is designed for use in compatible commercial coffee grinders. Bunn also offers a heavy-duty version under part number 05852.7998.  The shear plate functions as a critical safety component within the grinder’s grind chamber, acting as a sacrificial fuse.  If a hard object enters the chamber, the shear plate is designed to fail first, helping prevent more extensive and costly damage to the grinder.  This part is compatible with several popular Bunn commercial models, including the G1, G3, G9, G92, and G92S coffee grinders.
